Open Mon - Sun, 14h00 - 22:00; Fri until 24:00.
Entrance charge is $7. This sauna has moved premises since I was last in Quito so I didn't visit
there yet. You can read about it on their website; it looks like it should be just as good as
before when I rated it 5/5.
Report from a visitor in mid-2007: "One of the nicest bathhouses I have ever been too. Amazingly friendly (not to mention hot, horny, and gorgeous) guys. This is how I want to remember Quito. Wow. Place is in a quiet residential area… easy walk from the JW Marriott. Clean, nice facilities. Very good."
Jinetes, Robles E7-34 y Av. 6 de Diciembre, Colon.
Tel: 254-2998. Web-site: http://www.gayecuador.com/jinetes/

Entrance charge is $6.50 (includes towel and sandals. This sauna has also moved premises since I
was last in Quito. From the web-site it looks to be a big improvement from the previous location
so it should have increased its popularity.
Report from a visitor in mid-2007: "Not a very nice place. Dark, dingy, and very aggressive guys in the darkroom."
Azul, Mariscal Foch 285, entre Ave. 6 de Diciembre y
Tamayo
Tel: 222-1697. Web-site: http://www.gayecuador.com/azul/
See web-site for opening times.
This is a new sauna since my last visit to Quito. Can somebody please send me a report about
it.
Report from a visitor in mid-2007: "A bit small, but not bad. I got there a little late on a Sunday, but the clientele seemed friendly and the facility is convenient to Mariscal if you are in that area."
Curiously (and I have never seen this anywhere else outside Quito), some customers at these saunas wear either swimming bikini or boxer shorts. However, this is not compulsory and you can just wrap the towel round your waist as anywhere else.
